Who is responsible
This independent page about elevator pitch length decides for itself what it records. Send privacy questions and requests to hello@howlongisanelevatorpitch.com.
The stopwatch and the tabs
The stopwatch counts seconds inside your browser and nothing else. It never uses your microphone, never records sound and never sends your time anywhere. The length tabs only switch what you see.
Visit counts
There are no accounts and we don't know who you are. The page counts a few events to learn what is useful: a page view, the page you came from, how far down you read, whether the question at the top was on screen and which app link you used. Each event carries your browser language, operating system, screen and window size, time zone, two checks that help separate people from automated browsers, and a random ID kept in your browser. Your IP address gives a rough location and is not stored in full.
Where the counts go
Our own server function sends the events to an analytics provider that stores them in the European Union. We use them to improve this page and for nothing else. They are never sold or passed to advertisers.
Storage in your browser
No cookies are set. The page keeps a random ID and a session marker in your browser's storage. With the counting script blocked, the stopwatch and everything else still work.
The app links
App links point to /time-it on this site. That address reads only your browser's user agent: Android devices continue to the Confidently listing on Google Play, with the link's spot on the page passed along as a referrer, and all other devices continue to the App Store. Nothing about this redirect is logged. From there, Apple's or Google's terms and the app's own privacy policy apply.
Removing your data
Email us and we will delete the events tied to your random ID. Clearing this site's storage in your browser cuts that link straight away.
